Create “Hope Zones” that attract investment while ensuring existing residents and entrepreneurs benefit from neighborhood growth. Legislative Priorities
Expand grants and low-interest loans for residential development and small businesses. Support Detroit-based entrepreneurs. Streamline state licensing and permitting processes. Incentivize grocery stores and essential retail in underserved areas. Encourage mixed-use development along commercial corridors. Increase support for minority-owned businesses.
